Fitter, Happier
This animation is a nice reminder that a focused, minimalist approach can be more effective than the most elaborate production:

It's Just a Ride
Here's a video I made with one of my best friends, Isaac Cody Smith. The couple in the video are his parents, Tamye and Steve. They handled the painstaking process with aplomb. It took about 650 frames shot individually using a Nikon D70:

War Is A Racket
The following statement was made by the most highly decorated man to serve in the Marine Corps at the time of his death. He was a two-time Medal Of Honor winner (one of which he tried to return because he felt it wasn't deserved - they told him tough shit, you not only have to keep it you have to wear it), a Major General and a badass with three nicknames. After grinding it out for Uncle Sam, he reached the following conclusion:"I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents."He wrote the book, WAR IS A RACKET, and though I haven't read the whole thing yet the first few chapters are riveting.

Freddie Mercury, Literally
Just got done working on this. Did it over the weekend as I needed a break from a big animation project I'm working on (secret for now). Working on a video when you're working on another video as a method of relaxation might not make sense, but it works for me. Most of the time I don't need breaks from work so much as diversions from my all-consuming main projects so as not to go insane:

Marvel Motion Comics
Just finished working on this motion comic for the Marvel Motion Comic contest over at Aniboom.
The starfield in the background got pretty chunky due to the level of compression I had to apply for upload, but overall the animation came out looking pretty damn good.
I had a great time working on this and broke a sweat more then once. I'd love to develop the whole comic:
